3-D Without Glasses: Sign Me Up Please
Is it just me or have all the major blockbuster movies (especially children’s movies) been in 3-D lately? I feel sorry for my petite 7-year old girl that keeps having those incredibly HUGE 3-D glasses slide off her face. My 4-year old just plainly gave up and watches the movie without glasses. What’s a few extra weird lines on the screen anyway, right? Wrong.
Although some theaters have come up with child-friendly glasses, the fact that some movies don’t have a “non-3-D” choice is not suiting for some of us. I for one go to the movies to relax and get away from it all. I like my imagination and my eyes to be free. And I don’t want to wear something extra to be able to do that.
That is why I was pleased to read about Japanese electronics giant Toshiba planning to market the world’s first 3-D television that does not need special glasses. It is projected that the company will unveil three models of the television later this year, which will cost several thousand dollars.
According to www.pcworld.com, the company has developed a new system that emits a number of rays of light with various angles from the screen so that viewers can see stereoscopic images without glasses. (More information can be found at http://bit.ly/drGwAL.)
What about you? Are there certain products that hinder the task/goal you’re trying to accomplish? Ask yourself this as you go through your daily routine. Be cautious though; it may lead you to find a more enjoyable way of doing things.
