Hi there, I’m Laurie. And thanks for stopping by the brand new FMJ blog! What began several months ago as an idea has now come to fruition (!!!), and I can safely say on behalf of the entire FMJ team that we are THRILLED to now offer this new perspective and interactive addition to the magazine.

Now for a little bit about me…

I’m a public relations and social media professional with a knack for words and love for life. I’m the senior associate editor of the FMJ and handle the Industry News and New Products sections of the publication. In a short, few words, I’m Andrea‘s sidekick, if you will.

You may be wondering what kinds of things we’ll be talking about on this here blog. Well, I’ll touch on a variety of topics including (but not limited to)—grammar, AP style, suggestions on pitching article ideas, dos and don’ts for submissions, social media tips and more. I’ll even throw in the occasional attempt at humor, funny photo or behind-the-scenes FMJ gossip. It’s going to be a great adventure.

And while I know you lead a very busy life, I hope you’ll add us to your to-do list and make sure to visit often, staying part of the conversation every step of the way. We’re going to have lots of exciting things happen around this little part of the blogosphere—you wouldn’t want to miss out on the fun!
